Superannuation and tax thresholds 2025/26

Each year a number of superannuation thresholds are changed to reflect movements in full-time Average Weekly Ordinary Time Earnings (AWOTE) or Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Notable changes this July include:

  • Increase to the Super Guarantee contribution rate to 12%

  • Maximum superannuation contribution base for SG purposes drops to $250,000 (due to previous point)

  • Increase in the cutout threshold for Government Co-contributions to $62,488
