Chris Isles – General Manager – Accounting

Introducing Chris Isles, the General Manager of Accounting for AGS Financial Group. Chris joined the AGS Management team in January of 2013 with the opportunity to act as the leader of the Accounting arm of the business. Since then, Chris has brilliantly lead the accounting team across four offices, in Sydney and interstate, as well as continuing to be hands on and one on one with a number of our clients.

Experience

Chris has over 20 years experience working in mid-tier accounting firms. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canberra and is a Chartered Accountant (GradDipCA).

Expertise

Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with small business, his particular areas of expertise are in Business Succession strategies, Structuring for growth and profit improvement. Chris is an exceptional Accountant and leader. He always has the time to spend mentoring, problem solving or advising both his clients and employees. Chris places a high value on investing that time to ensure what ever the topic, goal or objective is, an outcome is reached that is thorough, achievable and a success.

The most satisfying part of my role is the position of trust that I am placed in. Our clients seek assistance to help grow & nurture their business and navigate typical business twists and turns. In providing this advice and being involved in the journey is extremely rewarding. A particular area of interest for me is assisting family businesses with strategic planning to help with the specific demands this type of business requires.

I believe I could be rebranded “The Outdoors Accountant”. Monday – Friday 9-5 in suit and tie with laptop in tow, but catch me outside these times and that laptop is replaced by a surfboard or football. I am an avid sports fan with a particular love for the Wests Tigers ( but don’t hold that against me! )”
