The Brisbane office has its origins in a simple idea. In 2015, Tim Graham, a Queenslander who had been working at AGS in Sydney, proposed relocating back to Brisbane and establishing AGS's first Queensland presence. The firm said yes, and what began as a one-person practice has grown into a full office at the Gasworks precinct in Newstead. Today, Tim continues to lead the Brisbane team out of Gasworks Plaza, and the office has become a useful base for the many AGS clients who started with us in Sydney and have since relocated north. They keep their adviser, structures and history intact while their tax residency and lifestyle shift to Queensland.

Located in Gasworks Plaza, Lobby 1, Level 2, 76 Skyring Terrace, Newstead, in the heart of the Gasworks precinct, close to Fortitude Valley and the Brisbane CBD. Bus services run through Newstead and Fortitude Valley. By car, there is 2-hour free parking within the Gasworks complex, with metered parking also available on surrounding streets.

How did AGS start in Brisbane?
The Brisbane office was established in 2015 when local Queenslander Tim Graham, who had been working at AGS in Sydney, floated the idea of relocating back to Brisbane and starting an AGS presence there. What began as a one-person outpost has grown into a full office serving Queensland clients with the complete AGS service offering.
Where is the Brisbane office located?
We are at Lobby 1, Level 2, Gasworks Plaza, 76 Skyring Terrace, Newstead QLD 4006, in the vibrant Gasworks precinct in Newstead, close to Fortitude Valley and the Brisbane CBD. The complex offers 2-hour free parking, and several bus routes run through Newstead and Fortitude Valley.
Do Brisbane clients have access to the full AGS service range?
Yes. Because Brisbane is one team rather than several siloed practices, the cross-discipline work is usually the most useful part. Tim and the Brisbane advisers run financial planning, SMSF, accounting, mortgage broking and estate planning from the same office, with the firm-wide specialist teams available behind them. That matters most when a single decision (selling a Sydney investment property after moving to Brisbane, for example) touches CGT, super contributions and lending at the same time.
Can AGS Brisbane work with clients outside Brisbane?
Yes. We work with clients across regional Queensland, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, and Australia-wide by phone and video. That's common for FIFO and resources-sector professionals, and for Brisbane-based clients with assets back in NSW or Victoria. If you'd rather come in, our Newstead office sits in Gasworks Plaza, two minutes from Fortitude Valley and close to the Brisbane CBD.
Can I book an out-of-hours appointment in Brisbane?
We can usually find a slot outside 9-to-5 by arrangement. It's most often used by clients working in the Newstead, Fortitude Valley and CBD precincts who don't want to step out during their workday, or interstate-employed clients on a different time zone. Flag it when you book. Video sessions are available for clients elsewhere in Queensland (or interstate) who'd rather not commute into Newstead.
